For Educators:

Readers are advised that this book shares the stories and names of deceased First Nations peoples.

Some stories contain sensitive content that may trigger those who have previously experienced a related trauma, such as references to suicide in Koort, Indiya and Warranany’s stories; police brutality, drug and alcohol use, self-harming and sexual abuse in Indiya and Warranany’s story.

Some stories use explicit language and colonial violence that may upset or offend some people. The language of the invaders and racially-based language has also been used in its historical context.
